West Mains Joinery Limited is a family-run home improvements business based in East Lothian. With over 20 years of experience, they’ve delivered more than 15,000 bespoke installations of windows, doors, and conservatories across central Scotland.
West Mains Joinery had to relocate offices on very short notice. Their existing IT setup was outdated, with ageing desktop PCs, limited connectivity via a 4G SIM, and business-critical systems hosted on a failing desktop.
Although they had an IT support partner in place, the service was reactive and lacked strategic input. They were hesitant to switch providers, especially during a move due to concerns around business disruption and the risk to their custom-built CRM and Job Management System.
In addition, staff couldn’t access key systems outside the office, which created delays, increased admin, and affected productivity. The move also caused them to temporarily lose access to their advertised phone number, adding to the disruption.

Euro Systems began with a detailed consultation and site visit to understand the business’s needs and challenges. We presented a clear, staged plan to stabilise their IT and modernise their setup, reassuring the team that switching providers wouldn’t mean losing critical data or downtime.
We migrated their CRM and Job Management System to a secure, cloud-hosted server with added security via Conditional Access Policies and Multi-factor Authentication. All desktop PCs were replaced under our Equipment-as-a-Service (EaaS) model, and we deployed a new cloud-hosted phone system to restore communication.
We also enabled secure remote access for senior staff, streamlined Microsoft 365 licensing to reduce costs, and installed a cloud-managed firewall and wireless solution to improve network performance.
With no internet connection at the new site, Euro Systems quickly set up a temporary 4G solution to get West Mains Joinery back online. From there, we managed the migration of systems, configured all new devices, and ensured the team could resume work with minimal disruption.
We worked closely with West Mains Joinery throughout, maintaining clear communication and delivering everything on a fast turnaround so they could stay operational.
